Meet The Team
I’m a fully qualified Osteopath and my role involves assessing, diagnosing and treating dysfunctions in the body, with a particular interest in neck and shoulder pain.
Here at Alba Spinal Health Centre, I absolutely love the one-to-one experience I have with my patients and being able to work with them so that they can reach their goals; it’s a rewarding feeling to know that I can help to make a difference!
People should choose Alba because we are an awesome (if I do say so myself!) and friendly team who always work together, as we really care about offering world-class service and treatment to every single person who visits us.
Away from work, I enjoy travelling and eating good food, as well as practising Yoga and Pilates – a great way to unwind! I also love to spend time with my wonderful family.
Yun Han Tee
BSc (Hons) in medical science & MSc in Chiropractic
My role is to first identify the underlying cause of problems through orthopaedic & neurological examination. Particularly for musculoskeletal conditions & postural issues, by restoring the movement & function of the spine allows better communication pathway between the brain & nervous system which can facilitate the recovery process. All ages can benefit from chiropractic care, even babies, which is an area that I am particularly interested in as I believe in the prevention and education on spinal health should begin from an early age.
Seeing the positive impacts that we made in improving a person’s quality of life is rewarding and that’s what makes me so passionate about my job. I genuinely believe everyone can do something about themselves as long as they are guided in the right direction and willing to make the change. Not only to get out of pain but also to improve their overall wellbeing to lead a healthier life.
In Alba, we care. We believe in providing the best service while assisting the patients moving toward better health.
Besides work, I love spending quality time with friends & family, have some good food, also exploring nature, especially those spontaneous trips of picnic & BBQ.
Being an osteopath is very stimulating because when patients reach their goals and are able to do what they want and what they needed to be able to do, I have achieved a goal myself for making them feel that way; and it is just great to be remembered for that.
What attracted first at Alba was how welcoming the place was. From the moment you enter Alba to the moment you leave, everyone in the team cares about your comfort and wellbeing.
In my free time, I love to invite all my friends and family for a good meal or BBQ. Travelling to new places is also something that I am keen on because it helps understand cultures and people and embrace how beautiful of a planet we live in.
I’m a dedicated and hard-working Chiropractic Assistant, who always has a smile on my face!
With advanced qualifications in Art & Design and Travel and Tourism, these disciplines also reflect my areas of interest outside of the workplace.
At Alba Spinal Health Centre, my primary responsibility is to spread the word of chiropractic, osteopathy and massage therapy, as well as to provide world-class service to all of the patients, which I always aim to dish out in spades!
As for my passion for the role, that stems from loving the fact that so many people from so many walks of life can be helped out by what chiropractic, osteopathy and massage therapy has to offer.
I truly believe that people should choose Alba because of the ‘Wow!’ factor, which I – along with the rest of the team – am dedicated to delivering on a daily basis. Going above and beyond is what it’s all about!
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband and our two beautiful children – constantly making wonderful memories with all of them.
Qualified level 2 in body massage. I am currently studying Level 3 in sports massage therapy and will be fully qualified in June 2020.
What does my role involve?
As a CA I feel we are the oil to the engine. I am here to help the day to day running of the clinic and as a first point of contact to our patients
I’m in charge of visibility in the clinic, so any events, promotions etc are managed by myself with the help of my fab colleagues. I will also be publishing the newsletter alongside my amazing PM Jen.
Why am I so passionate about my Job?
I love working at Alba we have such a great team and even better patients, its satisfying to see how much we really do change people’s lives.
Why should people choose Alba?
Patients should choose Alba because we really do reciprocate our intention statement which is
“WE ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE EVERYTHING WE SAY WE ARE”
In my spare time
Between working and studying I am a voluntary first aider for my local amateur rugby league team Westbank Bears. I have a keen interest in rugby, health & fitness and enjoy hiking around north Wales. I like to spend time with my partner and 3 boys and we often go to the family caravan in Wales this is where we spend most of our time when not playing or training with the rugby team.
I am the Director and Principal Chiropractor at Alba Spinal Health Centre, and I – along with the team – am 100 percent committed to making a difference to the lives of each and every person who walks through our door!
After studying for my BSc (Hons) Chiro DC qualifications, I have dedicated myself to becoming the best chiropractor I can be, and for caring for patients in a way they never expected me to. With a wonderful group of people around me, I take great satisfaction from building, growing, coaching and (hopefully!) inspiring all of the team to do the best job they can do – and because I know they are all absolutely fantastic, I make sure they get paid on time each month!
There’s many reasons why I am so passionate about what I do, but the main one has to be because we genuinely change people’s lives. I am in a position to personally make an impact on someone else’s health and wellbeing, which is incredibly rewarding, but because I have built up a team of people that I totally respect and trust, I can help so many more people than I could ever hope to manage on my own. I take great satisfaction from helping others be the very best they can be, whether it’s one of my patients or one of my team members.
So why should you choose Alba? Because we care, pure and simple. Ever since I opened the clinic here in Heaton Moor in 2005, we have always strived to go the extra mile – and because my team is second to none, you’ll receive a welcome like no other!
When I have some spare time away from doing what I love so much, I equally love being a wife to Alex and a mum to Jess and Ivyn; they are the foundation of my life. With any time left over, I love to travel and ride horses, as well as doing Crossfit, so I like to stay on the move one way or another! When it’s time to sit down and relax, I love to read books and to spend time at church, as well as seeing my friends and eating good food – but these days, I mostly fill my time being Mum!
I am proud to say that I am the Practice Manager (PM) here at Alba, and my role is a busy one, as it involves making sure that everything runs in an efficient and effective manner!
With many years’ experience in hospitality and elderly care, I specialise in making sure individuals receive the best service possible to suit their needs.
I also lead our team of Clinic Assistants in all aspects of their role – placing a particular emphasis on making sure that our culture, ethos and high standards of quality assurance (as well as our levels of customer service), are always maintained; it’s all about delivering a first-class service to all our patients.
The reason I am so passionate about my role as PM is because I care so much! Not only do I have the best interests at heart of all our patients (as well as their families), I also care about the exceptional team of people who work at Alba. I am truly proud of each and every one of them.
So why choose us? At Alba Spinal Health Centre, we care about our patients’ health and wellbeing, and we want every single person to have a fulfilling time during the course of their journey with us. Treating people as individuals and offering outstanding customer service is why we have built up such a strong reputation. I believe that Alba has its own unique environment – a positive, welcoming environment – with Jemma’s enthusiasm filtering down from the top and throughout the whole team. I can honestly say that each member of the team is dedicated to giving the best service and care possible!
In my spare time, I love to be with my husband and three boys – regularly going out for meals or catching the latest blockbuster at the cinema. I’m also a keen figure skater and try to get to the rink at least once a week. The rink is a place where I can switch off and just go with the flow of the whole process, plus I enjoy the challenge of learning new moves!
